Matsushima Kaigan (Bay) Sendai Japan and Sendai's most famous food -Gyutan (Beef tongue) 日本三景松島, 仙台名物牛たん ...

I've just got time to post this latest report before I head up to finish the new office construction next week at Shanghai.

The only trip I made last week was a very worthwhile one, visiting to Souzhou and HonZhou with my family for their summer vacation. That was my third visit in the space and I'm pleased I was able to do that for my family. I will not post the photo of Western Lake this time and please stay tuned for couple weeks.

Before I fly out to Shanghai last week, I paid a visit to Sendai Japan for a new business. I would like to extend the topic of train for the visiting and end it up this time.

Matsushima kaigan(Sendai, Japan) is spectacular bay than anywhere - certainly the best island I ever visited in Japan. Well, I guess the best is not just focusing on the sightseeing. The grilled beef tongue (gyutan) is tasty and it also originated in Sendai since ancient times .

The scenery of Matsushima bay is majestic, top three view of Japan, which was formed by more than 260 islands scattering in Matsushima kaigan. Take a boat and enjoy the scenery of ancient bay.

Therefore, Matsushima Kaigan was selected as one of top three view in Japan since 1643. If you know the Japanese Kangi, you will find the record in the inscription on the following stele.

If you have time, please walk to the biggest island of Matsushima Kaigan thru the long bridge. The place was obviously a lot quieter than it will be during the weekend.

This time, I walk slowly during the sunset and I really enjoy the moment of peace. I meet a polite elder gentleman when I stay in the bridge. We said "Ko-ni-gi-wa" to each other.

Like I said, life can be simple as here we are.

You should try the delicious charcoal-grilled sliced tongue with lightly sprinkled salt. The dish has been handed down from generation to generation.

It is typically served thinly sliced and grilled on charcoal, with barley rice and beef tail soup. The most famous restaurant locate in front of Sendai JR station. You can walk across the street and enjoy the dinner there. They also serve a special dish- "Sa-Ci-Mi Gyutan" , a fresh beef tongue, and I like the flavor of Gyutan. Yummy!

I also buy the Sendai's most famous Gyutan as a O-mi-ya-ge (gift) and deliver to my Japanese family in Tokyo.
