Cafe, Cookie shop & cute musical instruments

If you like bread, try to find a cafe inside the lane. The cafe will serve you a fresh bread and a cup of hot coffee. Bread is eaten with almost every meal here. There are almost 300 different kinds of bread in Germany. Bread can be flavored and topped with seeds. One of my other favorites is cabbage pickled with vinegar. It is called sauerkraut.














Most of Germany bake cookie at home but they buy it from the market sometime. A traditinal Germany cookie / sweet biscuits was dressed with Chocolate Chip or they cake with raw cookie dough center served with peanuts. From the attached photo, they decorate the cookie to look like a gift.

Streets of Aachen

The map was used to guide me to get to the town. Agree! It's a kind of complicated for an alien. Google Earth provided me the 3D map and it really help me as a backpacker in an unfamiliar city.















No matter where I go, I bring the Google map with me. The tool might not show the shortest route from town to town, yet it will tell you an orientation of town at least.














Aachen, the imperial city, located at the meeting point of three countries: Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Approaching the town, you will see a nature's greenery.














Aachen lies in a virtual valley, surrounded by fields, woods and hills. The town is a real pleasure for the pedestrian.














You can find a lot of casual stroller in the streets. of course, I was one of them in the carnival town...
